Want to make the world a better place? It all starts at your local Library this summer with ‘The Big Wild Read’.
We’re challenging you to change the world. By reading books, you can open your mind, help save the planet and have loads of fun! Every book you read helps plant trees and that’s great news for the environment. What’s more it’s all free!
As well as a free packet of wild flower seeds, you will be given a collector card with outdoor scenes to be transformed by collecting stickers for each book you read. As you read there will be some surprise rewards along the way and some fun activities to join in. The Woodland Trust will plant new young trees throughout the country for every book read. Once you have completed your card, read 6 books and picked up some handy tips about nurturing animals, saving energy and recycling, you can collect your BIG WILD READ medal and be presented with a certificate. Watch out for entertainments too at your local library.
